Second Nigerian Pilgrim Dies In Saudi Arabia (Photos)

Another pilgrim to this year’s Hajj identified as Sani Idris-Muhammed from Kano State, has died in Saudi Arabia.

The ugly development was confirmed in a statement by the Executive Secretary of Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Muhammed Abba-Danbatta.

He said Idris-Muhammed from Madobi Local Government Area, died in a General Hospital at Mecca on Saturday, August 6, after a brief illness. This comes after a female pilgrim, Hajiya Aisha Ahmed, from Kefi in Nasarawa state, was reported dead sometime last week.

“The deceased has been buried according to Islamic rites at Grand mosque at Masjid Haram Shira yard in Mecca,” he stated.

Abba-Danbatta prayed for the deceased and consoled his family.
