Popular Nigerian activist and social critic, Aisha Yesufu, has introduced the “Do more for Obi challenge,” pleading with Nigerians to join her to promote Peter Obi’s candidacy.
Yesufu urged Obi’s supporters to add more to whatever they are already doing for him, saying there is no time to rest until after the election has come and gone.
The social critic, who is also a strong supporter of Peter Obi, had recently advised Nigerians to do away with bad leaders and vote for competence in the 2023 general elections.
In a short video she posted on her verified Twitter handle, Yesufu said she would be doing three videos daily on Obi’s presidential candidacy as part of her contributions.
“She said in the video: Hello, everyone. I don’t know what to say. Let me just start with this. I want to challenge myself, I want to do a challenge: “do more for Obi challenge.
“I am looking at myself and say, what is it that I am already doing for Peter Obi? I need to do more, I need to up it. I cannot seat down and begin to think that, oh, I am doing so much. No. so I am asking you: will you be joining me? Would you like to join me?
“Do more for Obi challenge” just simply says whatever it is that you are doing right now, can you add something to it? It might be a little bit of something that you might add or it might be something huge you might be adding to it.
“For example every day I do two videos directly, one for the rundown to the election countdown and then the other directly on peter obi’s campaign. I think I might add another video, yes I will do that.
“And I will look for other things and add more. So That’s one more video, three videos that I will do from now till the election”.
“What is it that you can add to what you are already doing .you are already doing amazing things. But guess what? We cannot allow what we are doing now to look big in our eyes. We must add more. We must not feel that we are doing so much, otherwise little by little we start resting. There is no time to rest. We can do that after the election by the grace of God. But Right now it is for us to do more. So please join me in the do more for Obi challenge thank you”.
