Zamfara State police tactical operatives have rescued nine kidnapped victims comprising seven females and two males who were abducted on April 11, 2023, in Kucheri, Tsafe Local Government Area of the State.
According to a press statement issued by the State police spokesman, CSP Mohammed Shehu, on the 13th April, 2023, Police Tactical Operatives successfully rescued nine hostages comprising seven females and two males.
The statement said that the rescue of the victims was sequel to credible information obtained from a good Samaritan which the Police used and successfully rescued the victims hale and hearty.
“The victims while with the police underwent medical checks at police Clinic facility Gusau, debriefed by the police detectives and thereafter reunited with their family/relations”, the statement read.
The Commissioner of Police, Kolo Yusuf congratulated the victims for regaining their freedom, and reassured the public of sustained onslaught against the activities of bandits and other criminal elements.
The State police boss appealed to the general public to always supply the police and other security agencies with vital and timely information to deal ruthlessly with the unrepentant bandits ravaging the entire State.
He further reassured the Command’s sustained onslaught against bandits and other criminal elements in the State.
