According to him, the four affected communities are: Mafa, Bangaro, Ngoyo and Billiri.

He added that the displaced persons were taking refuge in Baban-Gida, the headquarters of Tarmuwa LGA.

He stated that the team of Yobe SEMA, in collaboration with several partners, was conducting a rapid assessment to address the immediate needs of the displaced persons.

“The initial focus will be on providing essential food items, non-food items (such as mattresses, blankets, mosquito nets, mats, buckets, and dignity kits), aimed at ensuring the safety and dignity of those affected”, Goje said.
