Suspected bandits have k!lled a pastor, Peter Shebayan, one other and abducted eight residents in Kaduna State.
It was gathered that pastor Peter was k!lled in his mission station at Katul Crossing in Fadan Kamantra axis of Zangon Kataf Local Government Area of the state on Sunday night, August 11, 2024.
In a similar incident, bandits attacked the Ruruma community in Kwassam, Kauru Local Government Area of the state, k!lling one Doctor Ishaya and abducting about eight others.
A resident, Benzene Godwin, who confirmed the incident in a Facebook post said the gunmen stormed the community in the early hours of Monday, August 12.
According to him, the kidnappers abducted Mr Dan’iya Barau, Mrs Bitrust Dan’iya, Mrs Esther Magada, Mr Buba Mu’azu Tanko, Mr Philip, Mr Joshua Cyrus, Miss Bege Ezekial and Mr Joffrey Ezekiel.
One of the victims, Jofferey Ezekiel, managed to escape and returned home.
The bandits also went away with some properties including six motorcycles, and 25 litres of fuel.
“Let’s keep FAITH ALIVE as we keep praying for their safe return and comfort to the immediate family and the Ruruma community at large,” he added.
