Morocco needed penalties to defeat Ghana in the semi-final of the ongoing Women’s Africa Cup of Nations on Tuesday night.

The game ended 1-1 after 120 minutes in Rabat.

Stella Nyamekye gave the Black Queens the lead in the 26th minute of the match.

But Sakina Ouzraoui equalized 10 minutes after the break for the hosts.

In the shoot-out, Morocco scored their first four penalties. Although Ghana also scored their first two, Evelyn Badu and Comfort Yeboah both failed to convert their kicks.

The Atlas Lionesses will now take on the Super Falcons of Nigeria, who are on a quest to clinch their record-extending 10th title.

The game will be played this Saturday.
