According to the Chairman of Tangaza LGA, Isa Saleh Bashir, who spoke to the BBC, the strike targeted bush paths and terrorist camps believed to be used by armed groups operating in the region.
While the exact number of casualties has not been confirmed, the local government chairman stated that several individuals were injured, and reports from Niger Republic security forces on patrol indicate that Lakurawa fighters were seen fleeing the area following the strike.
