Every action has a consequence. The evil we do to others may sometimes appear forgotten, hidden, or ignored, but God sees everything. A person may escape human judgment, but no one can escape the judgment of God.
The Bible reminds us that our actions matter. “For whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.” — Galatians 6:7 (KJV)
When a person deliberately hurts others, destroys lives, oppresses the innocent, lies, cheats, betrays trust, or uses power to commit injustice, those actions can leave lasting consequences. The pain caused to others may continue long after the person has moved on.
The Bible says:
“Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.”
— Galatians 6:7 (KJV)
We should therefore be careful about how we treat people, especially those who cannot defend themselves. Wealth, position, influence, and power do not make anyone greater than God’s judgment.
“For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.”
— Ecclesiastes 12:14 (KJV)
Even when people forget what happened, God does not forget. Every secret act, every injustice, every wicked deed, and every good deed is known to Him.
However, this message is not a call for revenge. Instead, it is a reminder to choose righteousness over wickedness. Rather than repaying evil with evil, the Bible teaches:
“Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.”
— Romans 12:19 (KJV)
Let us remember that the life we live today is planting seeds for tomorrow. If we sow hatred, injustice, and wickedness, we should not expect to reap peace and righteousness. But if we sow love, kindness, mercy, and righteousness, our lives can become a blessing to others.
“Whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.”
Do good while you have the opportunity. Treat people with dignity. Forgive when you can. Seek justice without hatred. And above all, live your life knowing that one day every person will give an account before God.
The evil that men do may live with them, leave a mark after them, and ultimately face the judgment of God. Choose righteousness, because your actions today can become your legacy tomorrow.
