Children never sit down and ask to be brought into this world. The decision to have children belongs to the adults who choose to become parents.
That is why parenthood should come with responsibility.
Bringing a child into the world is more than giving birth. It means accepting the responsibility to provide food, shelter, education, healthcare, guidance, protection and emotional support to the best of your ability.
Nobody expects parents to be perfect or wealthy. Life can change, jobs can disappear, and unexpected difficulties can happen. But having limited resources should encourage responsible planning—not the idea that children must carry the burden of decisions they never made.
A child should not be blamed for being hungry.
A child should not be blamed for being poor.
A child should not be blamed for the choices made by adults.
Before bringing another child into the world, ask yourself one important question: “Can I realistically provide the care and opportunities this child deserves?”
Children are not responsible for the circumstances into which they are born. Parents are responsible for doing their best to give them a safe, stable and loving foundation.
