While Israel and Saudi Arabia are making major investments in science, technology, research, artificial intelligence, infrastructure and innovation, much of Africa is still struggling with problems that should have been solved decades ago.
Let’s be brutally honest:
You cannot develop a continent with slogans, speeches and endless promises.
You need universities that produce innovators, industries that create jobs, laboratories that discover solutions, technology companies that compete globally, and governments that actually invest in the future.
Africa has brilliant young people. Africa has enormous natural resources. Africa has a huge population and a massive potential market.
So why are we still importing so much of the technology we depend on?
Why are African countries exporting raw materials and importing finished products?
Why do many of our brightest young people have to leave Africa to find better opportunities?
And why do politicians keep announcing ambitious projects while basic infrastructure, education, electricity and research funding remain major challenges?
The uncomfortable truth is this: Africa does not lack potential. Africa lacks enough execution.
We don’t need another decade of excuses.
We need less talking, less celebration of mediocrity, and more building.
Build the factories.
Build the laboratories.
Build the universities.
Build the technology.
Build the infrastructure.
Build the industries.
Build the future.
🔥 Here is the question nobody wants to answer: Is Africa genuinely investing enough in the future, or are we simply getting better at explaining why we are still behind?
