There is nothing wrong with becoming rich. In fact, financial success can change your life, create opportunities and give you the freedom to live more comfortably.
But here is the uncomfortable question:
Why do some people become successful and suddenly start treating poor people as if they are beneath them?
The same person they once greeted becomes invisible.
The worker who deserves respect becomes “just a cleaner.”
The security guard becomes someone they refuse to acknowledge.
The struggling person asking for help becomes an annoyance.
And sometimes, the biggest change is not in their bank account—it is in their attitude.
But having money does not change the fact that every human being deserves dignity.
You can own several houses and still be humble.
You can drive a luxury car and still respect the person walking to work.
You can have millions in your bank account and still understand that another person’s financial situation does not determine their worth.
TODAY YOU MAY BE THE ONE HELPING SOMEONE. TOMORROW, LIFE MAY PUT YOU IN A POSITION WHERE YOU NEED HELP.
Success should give you confidence, not arrogance.
Wealth should give you opportunities, not permission to disrespect others.
And if your money has made you incapable of showing basic respect to people with less than you, perhaps the real question is not “How rich are you?”
Perhaps it is:
“What did becoming rich do to your heart?”
