Again, Prophet Jeremiah Fufeyin threatens lawsuit against VDM over fresh allegation

The General Overseer and Senior Prophet of the Christ Mercyland Deliverance Ministry, Prophet Jeremiah Omoto Fufeyin has again threatened a lawsuit against popular social critic, Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan (VDM).

It was  recalls that VeryDarkMan had recently called out the popular prophet for allegedly impoverishing his members by selling spiritual materials to them.

The critic was majorly concerned about bottled water, such as the ‘Pool of Bethesda water’ and ‘Red Sea water’.

One of the bottled water was said to have the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control, NAFDAC, number.

VDM had since petitioned the government agency to explain the rationale behind their endorsement of the spiritual product.

After the criticism that followed the exposure by VDM, the prophet reportedly slammed a N1 billion suit against VDM.

In a bid to gather evidence to support his claim, VDM went an extra step of testing the products, which claimed to have “miraculous healing powers,” on a large group of disabled individuals in Abuja.

According to the viral video that captured the exercise, none of the disabled was healed after administering the product.

In a more recent development, VDM in a video clip on his official Facebook page, claimed that the controversial prophet had pulled down some of the items from the church’s official website.

However, the church management in a statement issued on Saturday night by one Sophia Lloyd, debunked the claim.

According to the statement, the church’s legal team has been directed to take necessary actions against VDM.

It labeled Otse’s claims as “unfounded lies” and “cheap propaganda.”

They further emphasized that the video publication is a deliberate attempt to defame their General Overseer and tarnish the reputation of the church.

“The church clarified that Otse is not an official representative of Mercy Television or the church and does not have the authority to speak or act on their behalf.

“The Church’s legal team has been instructed to take appropriate action regarding these false allegations,” it stated.
