The Super Eagles of Nigeria have been drawn in Group C with Tunisia, Uganda, and Tanzania for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
The CAF Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Morocco 2025 Final Draw ceremony was held on Monday night, January 27, at the Mohammed V National Theatre in Rabat, Morrocco.
Nigeria, three-time AFCON champions, secured their spot in the tournament by topping their qualifying group with 11 points. Their impressive performance was marked by nine goals scored and only three conceded in six matches.
The tournament will be played from December 21 to January 18, 2026.
The 24 teams were divided into six groups:
Group A: Morocco, Mali, Zambia, Comoros
Group B: Egypt, South Africa, Angola, Zimbabwe
Group C: Nigeria, Tunisia, Uganda, Tanzania
Group D: Senegal, DR Congo, Benin, Botswana
Group E: Algeria, Burkina Faso, Equatorial Guinea, Sudan
Group F: Côte d’Ivoire, Cameroon, Gabon, Mozambique
