Iran Lists Three Conditions To End War With US, Israel

Published

on

The President of Iran, Masoud Pezeshkian, has outlined three conditions his country says must be met to end the ongoing war involving Iran, the United States, and Israel.

It was reports that Pezeshkian disclosed the conditions in a post on X on Wednesday.

According to the Iranian leader, one of the key conditions is the payment of reparations by the United States for damage caused during the conflict.

He also demanded recognition of Iran’s legitimate rights and international guarantees to prevent future attacks.

“Talking to leaders of Russia and Pakistan, I reaffirmed Iran’s commitment to peace in the region. The only way to end this war—ignited by the Zionist regime & US—is recognizing Iran’s legitimate rights, payment of reparations, and firm int’l guarantees against future aggression,” he wrote.

Pezeshkian said the conditions were discussed during meetings with leaders of Russia and Pakistan, both of which have criticised the attacks on Iran.

Reports indicate that more than 1,300 Iranians have been killed since the war began about 12 days ago, following airstrikes by the United States and Israel.

Iran’s retaliatory strikes have also resulted in casualties, including eight American soldiers and at least 12 people in Israel.

Among the victims of the strikes were Iran’s former Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, and more than 160 schoolgirls reportedly killed when a missile struck their school.

According to reports cited by The New York Times, a US military investigation confirmed that the strike on the school was carried out by American forces.

Despite claims by the United States that it has destroyed much of Iran’s air force, navy and missile capabilities, Tehran continues to launch missiles and drones at Israel and US-linked targets across the Middle East.

Iran has also reportedly closed the Strait of Hormuz, a critical maritime passage through which about 20 per cent of the world’s oil supply is transported.

The closure has triggered rising fuel prices globally, with countries such as Nigeria already experiencing increases in petrol prices amid the disruption to global oil supply chains.

Is This The Man Many Of You Regard As Intelligent? – Catholic Priest Blasts Bwala Over Al Jazeera Interview

Published

on

A Catholic missionary priest working in The Gambia, Fr Kelvin Ugwu, has shared his thoughts on the controversial interview with presidential aide Daniel Bwala on Al Jazeera.

In a post on his Facebook page on Wednesday, he stated that Bwala was more interested in discussing former presidential candidate Peter Obi.

Recall that Bwala recently claimed that Obi tried to approach him to join his presidential campaign, but he refused.

However, the Catholic priest said Bwala had earlier criticised Al Jazeera’s professionalism but shifted the focus to Obi during the interview with Daddy Freeze.

He asserted that the presidential aide was disappointed when he was not allowed to speak about Obi during the Al Jazeera interview.

“I just watched an interview Bwala had with Daddy Freeze. Is this the man many of you regard as intelligent? After accusing Al Jazeera of not being professional, he turned and focused on Peter Obi. Now I know, he was expecting to talk about Peter Obi with Mehdi,” Ugwu wrote.

The comment comes amid widespread reactions to Bwala’s recent appearance on the Al Jazeera programme Head to Head, where he was interviewed by Hasan.

The interview, which examined the policies and performance of President Bola Tinubu’s administration, went viral on social media and triggered mixed debate across Nigeria’s pubic spaces.

‘They’re Afraid The Secrets Tinubu Knows May Be Exposed’ – Actor Alapini Speaks About Certain People In Aso Rock

Published

on

Nollywood actor, Ganiyu Nafiu, better known as Alapini Osa, has claimed that while President Bola Tinubu is doing everything possible to improve the country, certain individuals within Aso Rock have been undermining his efforts.

It was reports that Alapini Osa, in an interview with his colleague, Kunle Afod, described these obstructive figures in Aso Rock as “tigers and cobras in the forests,” attributing the nation’s current hardships to their actions.

According to him, the detractors are scared that the secrets Tinubu knows may be exposed if the country’s solution comes from him.

He said, “There are many people in Aso Rock who do not want solutions to Nigeria’s problems to come from Tinubu because they fear that the secrets he knows may be exposed. The way he is governing requires knowledge and strategy. That is why some people still believe there is hardship in the country. If he did not apply wisdom in governing, he would not achieve anything before leaving office. Ultimately, it is God who governs the affairs of men, and we should accept that.

“If God did not have a purpose for Nigeria through him, He would not have made him president. I believe he was sent to accomplish something, and he is already working towards it. When we compare the way previous presidents ruled with Tinubu’s style of governance, we can see clear differences. Some former leaders focused mainly on their own regions and believed that only they were meant to rule, making life difficult for people from other parts of the country”

Speaking further, the movie star defended Tinubu’s presidency, stressing that he was already wealthy and famous before taking office.

He added, “However, when we look at the way Tinubu is governing now, those who are fair-minded will see that he wants to lead the country well. Is it money or fame that he is looking for? He already has both. He is a compassionate person, but the place where he is now, Aso Rock, houses powerful and dangerous interests, like a forest filled with lions, tigers and cobras. It takes a brave hunter to enter such a place and succeed.”
