🇳🇬 MADE IN OAU. BUILT FOR NIGERIA. POWERED BY INNOVATION. ⚡🛺

Published

on

What happens when Nigerian engineering meets the urgent need for technological and economic self-reliance?

You get an indigenous electric tricycle designed, fabricated, converted and road-tested by students and engineers at Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife.

This is more than a university project. It is a powerful demonstration of what Nigerian universities, engineers and young innovators can achieve when knowledge meets practical innovation.

From reducing dependence on imported vehicles and components to creating opportunities for local manufacturing, jobs and investment, this electric tricycle represents a bigger conversation about Nigeria’s technology sovereignty, industrial development and dedollarization.

Every locally designed component, every locally fabricated part and every kilometre covered by this vehicle represents a step towards a Nigeria that designs, builds and manufactures for itself.

🇳🇬 Can indigenous electric mobility help Nigeria save foreign exchange and build a stronger manufacturing ecosystem?

Watch the road test and join the conversation.
