Video – When will the destruction of farmers’ livelihoods stop?

Published

on

Across Nigeria, farmers continue to raise concerns about cattle destroying crops and farms, leaving hardworking people to bear the devastating consequences of lost harvests, wasted investments and food insecurity.

What makes the situation even more painful is the perception that when livestock is harmed, there can be swift outrage and demands for justice—but when farmers lose their crops and livelihoods, their suffering often receives far less attention.

This is not about attacking an entire region, tribe or religious group. It is about accountability, justice and protecting the rights and livelihoods of ordinary Nigerians.

Our leaders, traditional institutions and influential voices must speak honestly about these recurring conflicts and support solutions that protect both farmers and responsible livestock owners.

Farmers deserve protection. Livestock owners deserve justice. Every Nigerian deserves accountability.

Watch, share your thoughts and join the conversation respectfully.
