Bandits Arrested in Kwara: Suspects Claim AK-47 Rifles Came From Government Officials | Confession

Published

on

Nigerian Army troops have arrested suspected bandits in Ifelodun Local Government Area of Kwara State, after intercepting them while patrolling with AK-47 rifles and a security patrol vehicle.

What has sparked nationwide outrage is the suspects’ claim that the vehicle and rifles were allegedly supplied by Kwara State government officials.

In the viral video, the arrested men—seen restrained on the ground—allege they had been operating under the guise of official patrol duties.

One suspect, speaking in Hausa and Nigerian Pidgin, insisted the weapons were handed over by their superior and not privately owned.

He repeatedly swore by God that multiple individuals were involved. As investigations continue, neither the Kwara State Government nor the Nigerian Army has issued an official statement confirming or denying these serious allegations.

This development comes amid rising insecurity in Kwara, following reports of the kidnapping of four travelers in Yagba East, including three siblings returning from their mother’s burial.

The kidnappers are reportedly demanding ₦10 million per victim, deepening public anger and fear across the region.

Watch the full video to hear the suspects’ shocking claims, see the arrest footage, and understand what this means for security in Kwara State and Nigeria at large.

Video – CAUGHT IN THE ACT: Drug Dealer Arrested While Delivering “Canadian Loud” in Owerri

Published

on

In a dramatic turn of events in Umuguma, Owerri West, a suspected drug dealer known as Bright was arrested after a carefully planned sting operation.

Bright was reportedly involved in the illegal distribution of premium cannabis strains popularly called Canadian Loud and Scottish Loud, substances that have been circulating among youths despite strict anti-drug laws.

According to reports, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Narcotics and Illicit Drugs Monitoring received credible intelligence about Bright’s activities. Acting swiftly, a strategic operation was launched to bring the suspect to justice.

Posing as a buyer, the Adviser contacted Bright and arranged a purchase. Confident in his illegal trade, Bright demanded upfront payment and agreed to deliver the drugs after receiving part of the money. What he didn’t know was that a trap had already been set.

When Bright arrived at the agreed meeting point with the illicit substance, security operatives moved in and arrested him on the spot.

The arrest has sent a strong message across Owerri and beyond — the fight against illicit drugs, cannabis trafficking, and narcotics distribution is ongoing, and those involved will eventually face the law.

This incident serves as a warning and a reminder that authorities are intensifying efforts to protect communities from the dangers of drug abuse and illegal drug trade.
