Real estate entrepreneur, King Mohamed Adah, popularly known as King Ochacho, has described the ₦400m mansion he gifted to TikTok star Habeeb Hamzat, popularly known as Peller, and his wife, Elizabeth Amadou, alias Jarvis, as “small money.”

Ochacho stated this during a TikTok livestream on Monday, two days after the couple’s wedding in Lagos.

The mogul said the gift was insignificant to him and his children.

“400 million is no money. 400 million is just 400 Naira as far as Ice King, Money Man, Ochacho Real Estate is concerned. It’s small money to them. You guys decided to do that, right?” he said.

Explaining why he gifted the couples, the entrepreneur said Peller has a good heart.

He added, “Peller has a very good heart. Whenever we give, God replenishes it and restores double what we have because we give.

“But, Peller, let me tell you the truth. That house is going to be the smallest gift ever I’m going to give to Peller. The next one I’ll give to Peller, they will off light in this country. They shouldn’t worry.

“That house is going to be the smallest gift I’ll give to him.”

During the livestream, Ochacho also announced plans to sponsor the education of selected students as part of the birthday celebration of his son, Ice King.

According to him, beneficiaries with genuine school accounts would have their fees paid directly to their schools.

“King is 15. Ice King is going to be 13 in a few days’ time.

“If you have not paid your school fees and you have a genuine school account, Ice King is going to help you on Thursday on his birthday. You can give us the direct account to the school, they are going to help you pay your school fees. We are going to select a certain number of people across the country that we are going to pay their school fees on Thursday,” he said.

He added, “We are fully ready, loaded to deliver. In short, we are hungry to deliver.”

Presenting the gift during the wedding ceremony, the founder of Ochacho Real Homes said, “On behalf of my children, I am presenting a brand new house for you worth ₦400 million in Abuja. Congratulations, Peller.”

The announcement drew applause from guests and quickly went viral on social media.

The wedding was attended by celebrities, content creators and other guests, including actresses Iyabo Ojo and Eniola Badmus, social media influencer Nons Miraj, singer Zinoleesky, actress Papaya Ex, content creator Cute Abiola, socialite Soso Soberekon, influencer Purple Speedy and Tanzanian singer Juma Jux.

The gift fulfilled a promise Ochacho made to Peller months earlier during the wedding of music executive Soso Soberekon, where he pledged financial support for the TikTok star’s wedding.

Media personality, Frank Edoho, has explained that his exit from Who Wants To Be A Millionaire followed the withdrawal of the show’s sponsor, not a sacking as widely reported.

Speaking on an episode of The KK Show which was published on Sunday, Edoho said a newspaper report claiming he was dropped from the programme was false.

The former Who Wants To Be A Millionaire host recalled that he spent four years working at Radio Nigeria, the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, before television offered him the fame radio could not.

“I was on radio. I worked for Radio Nigeria—that’s the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria—for four years.

“You know, once you can work on radio for four years but not get as much popularity or fame as you would if you worked on TV for one month,” he said.

Edoho said Who Wants To Be A Millionaire ended after its sponsor, who had backed the show for a decade, withdrew support following a regulatory penalty.

“So Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? sort of came to an end when our sponsor withdrew. I don’t know if I can mention brand names here, but our sponsor stayed with us for a decade sponsoring the show,” he said.

He explained that the Federal Government had fined the sponsor over a corporate matter, and the resulting financial burden forced the company to end its involvement with the show.

“I think the Federal Government fined them based on some industry… I think it was just like a punitive measure for one corporate thing that happened.

“I can’t go into details, but that affected the sponsorship of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? So they said, ‘Hey guys, we can’t do this anymore based on the fact that we have to pay an incredible sum of money back to the Federal Government,” he said.

Edoho said he entered negotiations for a stake in the show after learning that new sponsors were interested, believing his years on the programme had made him an asset to it.

“I went into negotiation because we heard that other sponsors were interested, and I wanted to be an executive producer.

“I wanted to have a stake in it because I feel that I built myself up to the extent that I assumed I was an asset to the show,” he said.

He said the negotiations broke down over disagreements, and his absence from the relaunched show under its new sponsor led to speculation that he had been dropped.

“We were having differences in negotiation. I think it was one newspaper that went and said that I was dropped based on the fact that, with the relaunch of the show under the new sponsor, I wasn’t anywhere to be found. And of course, they would draw conclusions based on that,” he explained.

Edoho maintained that the report of his sacking was untrue, describing the experience as a betrayal after years of work on the show.

He said, “So they announced that I was dropped from the show, which was false then. I gave my statement. I said, ‘Okay, you know what? This is it.’ I felt I was thrown under the bus after all the years I put in.”

Edoho hosted the show for 13 years, from 2004 to 2017, before resigning in September 2017. The show went on a temporary break in 2017 after 13 years on air, when its sponsor, MTN Nigeria, pulled out.

Following his exit, reports at the time claimed Edoho had been dropped from the show as it prepared to return under a new sponsor.

He returned to the programme in 2022, when it resumed after a five-year hiatus with a revamped cash prize and new sponsors.

The President of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Bishop Wale Oke, has criticised the National Assembly over the proposed legislation seeking to prohibit preaching in commercial buses, declaring that Christians would continue to evangelise despite the measure.

Oke, who spoke during a church sermon on Sunday, vowed that members of the PFN would resist any attempt to enforce the law, insisting that preaching the gospel remained a divine mandate.

“Make all the stadiums in Nigeria become prisons; if you want to enforce that law, we are coming. We will break that law. Our Master told us to go into the world and preach the gospel to every creature. You sit somewhere there, and you are saying we shouldn’t preach in buses. We will preach in buses! We will preach everywhere! Because you are making evil decrees. We will rather obey God than man,” he said.

The cleric accused lawmakers of focusing on religious preaching instead of tackling insecurity and violent crimes across the country.

“You don’t go after killers; you are not going after those beheading; you are not going after rapists; you are not going after kidnappers. You are not going after bandits who are unlawfully carrying arms. You are going after us who are preaching the message of peace that changes people’s lives. We wouldn’t listen to you. You are not God!

“Those promoting that law, God will cut them off. We will rain curses upon you and your family unless you repent. This law, we will break it,” he added.

The PFN president’s comments come amid growing reactions from Christian leaders over the proposed legislation, which prescribes penalties for individuals who preach or engage in unsolicited religious activities inside commercial buses.

Recall that the Senate recently clarified that the prohibition of preaching and hawking inside commercial vehicles is not a new provision introduced by the ongoing amendment to the Federal Road Safety Commission Establishment Act, insisting that the offences have existed in Nigerian law since 2007.

The clarification followed widespread public criticism after PUNCH Online reported on July 17 that the Senate passed the Federal Road Safety Corps (Amendment) Bill, 2026, which proposes a N50,000 fine for anyone convicted of hawking, trading or preaching inside commercial vehicles.

In a statement issued on Monday by the Directorate of Media and Public Affairs in the Office of the Senate Leader, Opeyemi Bamidele, the Senate said the controversial provision had long been contained in the existing FRSC Act and National Road Traffic Regulations.

“The Senate has duly noticed public concerns on the purported proscription of preaching and hawking in a commercial vehicle under the ongoing amendment to the Federal Road Safety Commission (Establishment) Act, No. 22, 2007,” the statement read.

Meanwhile, several prominent clerics have also faulted the purported proscription.

The founder of Dunamis International Gospel Centre, Dr Paul Enenche, recently argued that evangelism remains a core Christian obligation and warned against any policy that seeks to restrict peaceful gospel preaching in public places.

Similarly, the Presiding Bishop of Living Faith Church Worldwide, Bishop David Oyedepo, has repeatedly maintained that evangelism is central to the Christian faith, urging believers not to relent in soul-winning despite perceived opposition.

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has also consistently encouraged Christians to continue sharing their faith peacefully and in accordance with biblical injunctions.
