President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is back in Nigeria after concluding his extended working vacation in Europe, with Paris, France, as the final stop of his trip.

Shortly after arriving in Lagos on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, the President spoke with journalists about his return and his time abroad.

In his first remarks after returning from Paris, President Tinubu responded to questions from journalists and spoke about how he spent his time in Europe. He also addressed questions concerning his health, saying he was “healthy, sound, and ready to go.”

The President had spent about four weeks in Europe, beginning his trip in London before travelling to Paris, where he held engagements with French President Emmanuel Macron and business leaders, among other activities.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has arrived in Lagos, Nigeria, following the conclusion of his working vacation in Europe.

The President’s aircraft touched down at the Presidential Wing of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja, on Tuesday evening, September 29, 2026. He was received by Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, senior government officials, political leaders and other dignitaries.

President Tinubu had spent about four weeks in Europe, including time in London and Paris, before returning to Nigeria. The Presidency said he chose to return through Lagos ahead of activities marking Nigeria’s 66th Independence Anniversary.

Texas is facing a significant weather threat as rounds of heavy rain and thunderstorms move across parts of the state, raising concerns about flash flooding, flooded roads and dangerous conditions.
