YOUR LANGUAGE. YOUR NAME. YOUR DRESSING. THESE ARE PARTS OF YOUR IDENTITY!

Published

on

Africa is not one culture, one language, or one style of dressing. It is a continent blessed with thousands of languages, diverse traditions, beautiful names, colourful clothing, and rich cultural heritage.

From the Yoruba and Igbo of Nigeria to the Hausa/Fulani, Ashanti of Ghana, Amhara of Ethiopia, Somali of Somalia, and Zulu of South Africa, every community has its own history, traditions, and identity.

Our traditional clothing tells stories. Our names carry meaning. Our languages preserve the wisdom, history, and experiences of generations before us.

But here is a serious question: **WHY DO SOME AFRICANS FEEL ASHAMED OF THEIR OWN CULTURE WHILE ADMIRING THE CULTURES OF OTHERS?

There is nothing wrong with speaking English, French, or other international languages. There is nothing wrong with wearing modern fashion or embracing new ideas.

The problem begins when we start believing that our own languages are inferior, our traditional names are embarrassing, and our cultural clothing is outdated.

BEING MODERN DOES NOT MEAN ABANDONING YOUR ROOTS!

We can learn from the world without losing ourselves. We can embrace progress while preserving our heritage. And we can respect other cultures without looking down on our own.

Africa’s strength lies not in becoming the same, but in celebrating our differences while respecting one another.

Be proud of your name. Speak your language. Celebrate your culture. Respect other people’s identities.**

LET’S DEBATE!  Should African parents make a stronger effort to teach their children their mother tongues and cultural traditions, especially when living abroad?

DRESSED TO KILL OR DRESSED TO OPPRESS?

Published

on

Some people don’t dress to look good anymore — they dress to make others feel inferior.

Designer clothes, expensive watches, luxury bags, and shoes worth a month’s salary. They walk into a room expecting everyone to notice them, admire them, and feel small in their presence.

But let me ask you a serious question: **When did fashion become a weapon for humiliating people who cannot afford what you wear?**

There is nothing wrong with looking good, wearing designer brands, or enjoying the rewards of your hard work. The problem begins when you use your appearance to measure your worth against others.

You can wear a suit worth thousands of euros and still have a poverty of character. You can wear ordinary clothes and possess the kind of dignity that money cannot buy.

**Remember: Your outfit may attract attention, but your character determines whether you deserve respect.**

Real class is not making people feel poor around you. Real class is making people feel respected in your presence, regardless of what they wear.

🔥 **LET’S DEBATE:**

Do some people dress to express themselves, or do they dress to intimidate and oppress others?

And be honest — have you ever met someone who thinks they are better than everyone else simply because they wear expensive clothes?

YOU ARE NOT TAKING YOUR MILLIONS, MANSIONS OR LUXURY CARS TO THE GRAVE—SO WHY ARE YOU ACTING LIKE A GOD BECAUSE YOU HAVE MONEY?

Published

on

Some rich people humiliate the poor, oppress the helpless, disrespect those who cannot help them, and treat money as if it makes them superior to other human beings.

They forget that the same ground that receives the poor will also receive the rich. Death does not ask for your bank balance, your social status, your political connections, or the number of houses you own.

WHEN YOU DIE, YOUR WEALTH WILL STAY HERE. YOU WILL NOT TAKE YOUR EMPIRE INTO THE GRAVE!

You came into this world empty-handed, and you will leave it empty-handed.

So, why the arrogance? Why the wickedness? Why cheat people to become rich? Why destroy another person’s happiness just to increase your own wealth?

Build your businesses. Buy your dream house. Drive your dream car. Become successful and enjoy the fruits of your hard work.

But never allow money to destroy the human being inside you.

Remember, your money may command attention, your power may silence people, and your connections may open doors—but none of these things makes you immortal.

One day, life will continue without you. Your possessions will belong to someone else, and the world will move on.

THE REAL QUESTION IS NOT HOW MUCH WEALTH YOU WILL ACCUMULATE BEFORE YOU DIE, BUT HOW MANY LIVES YOU WILL TOUCH BEFORE YOU LEAVE THIS WORLD.

LET’S DEBATE: Why do some people treat the poor like rubbish simply because they have money? Is it ignorance, pride, or a lack of humanity?**

What Is the Point of Dying Rich When Your Own Family Is Dying Poor?

Published

on

Imagine spending your entire life accumulating wealth, building mansions, buying luxury cars, and filling your bank accounts with millions, only to leave this world without using your resources to help people who desperately needed your support.

**What is the point of becoming extremely wealthy if the people around you are struggling to survive and you have the means to make a difference?**

This is a question many wealthy people need to ask themselves.

Across our communities, some families are struggling to pay school fees, afford medical treatment, put food on the table, or pay their rent. Sometimes, the people facing these challenges are not strangers. They are our brothers, sisters, cousins, relatives, friends, and neighbours.

Yet, while some people are busy accumulating more wealth than they could reasonably spend in their lifetime, others around them are fighting battles that a little financial assistance could help ease.

Of course, nobody should be forced to give away their hard-earned money, and becoming wealthy is not a crime. People have the right to protect their assets, secure their children’s future, and enjoy the rewards of their hard work.

However, wealth also creates opportunities to make a meaningful difference.

You do not have to give away everything you own. Sometimes, paying a child’s school fees, helping a struggling relative start a small business, contributing towards someone’s medical bills, or providing food for a family in need can change the direction of a person’s life.

## Remember, Nobody Lives Forever

One of life’s unavoidable realities is that nobody can take their material possessions beyond the grave.

The houses we build, the cars we drive, the money we save, and the businesses we establish will eventually remain in the hands of others.

When our time comes, what will matter most to the people whose lives we touched?

Will they remember only the wealth we accumulated, or will they remember the kindness we showed when they needed help?

The purpose of this message is not to condemn wealthy people. It is to encourage everyone, regardless of their financial status, to recognise that even a little generosity can have a lasting impact.

**Build your wealth, secure your future, and take care of your family. But do not become so obsessed with accumulating money that you forget the human beings around you.**

A life of success should not be measured by possessions alone, but also by the positive difference we make in the lives of others.

### The Big Question

Should wealthy people feel a moral responsibility to help struggling relatives and people in their communities, or is everyone responsible only for themselves?

Share your opinion in the comments. We want to hear your perspective.
