PHOTOS: Why we m8rdered Ogun FRSC officer, daughter — Victim’s friend and herbalists reveal
Victor Fajemirokun, the friend of the late officer of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Lasisi Funmilayo, has explained why he lured her and her 12-year-old daughter, Sewa, to their d3ath in the hands of some herbalists in Osun State.
Fajemirokun,40, who was arrested in Ghana, was paraded alongside two herbalists, Gboyega Daramola and Sunday James, at the headquarters of the Osun State Police Command in Osogbo on Wednesday, December 3, 2025.
The 39-year-old senior FRSC officer, Funmilayo, and her daughter, were declared missing on Sunday, November 2, after they left their residence at the Obasanjo Hilltop Estate, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, Ogun State and never returned.
The mutilated bodies of mother and daughter were found at a suspected herbalist’s den in Osun, in what is suspected to be a ritual k!lling.
Responding to questions from journalists, the Osogbo-based businessman said he lured the deceased from Ogun to Ijebu-Jesa in Osun State because a Muslim cleric said that Funmilayo, relying on spiritual manipulations, had used his glory.
According to him, the cleric claimed that, as long as Funmilayo was alive, he would not be successful.
Fajemirokun, who said he told his wife in Osogbo that he was going for prayer in Ikoyi, Osun State, admitted inviting Funmilayo from Ogun to Osun because he needed to perform some spiritual cleansing to free himself from the spiritual grip of the deceased.
“I met one Gboyega Daramola on TikTok. The agreement between Funmilayo and me was to go and meet him for spiritual cleansing. So when this man (Gboyega) did a spiritual consultation for me, he said Fumilayo was the one causing misfortune for me. So, he asked me to come with her,” he said.
“I went there with Funmilayo to his place at Ijebu-Ijesa. The man told Funmilayo that she had to do some rituals and instructed three men to take her to the bush to perform the rituals. It was in the bush that we k!lled her. The daughter went to the bush with us.
“After k!lling them, I ran to a mountain in Ikoyi. It was from there that I went to Ibadan. It was as if I was hypnotised. I never really wanted to do that. So, when we got there, I knew that they were going to kill her. I never knew they harvested their organs. I only heard that on the news, and that was when I decided to come back home.”
Stating the role he played in the incident, one of the two herbalists arrested in connection with the crime, James, said he met the two deceased on November 2, in the house of his boss, Daramola.
“I went to my boss’s house, where I met Victor, a woman, and a young girl. My boss (Daramola) told me that Victor had gone to an alfa before, where he was told that his woman friend had used his glory. So, he was there for them to k!ll his wife and his child,” James said.
“So, my boss ordered me to k!ll them and threatened me. We took them to a bush where we used a knife to slit their throats. After that, we cut the woman into pieces.”
Daramola, who allegedly gave the order for the k!lling, however, told Punch that it was Fajemirokun who instructed them to k!ll the deceased, but denied being present when the crime was perpetrated.
Stating the facts of the case, Osun Police Command CP, Gotan, said Fajemirokun was reported missing on November 2 in Ikoyi, where he had gone to a mountain for prayers.
“Subsequently, through intelligence-led investigation and painstaking analysis, on the 16th November, 2025, one Gboyega Daramola ‘m’ a.k.a. ‘Aberefa’ was arrested and confirmed to be an herbalist,” the CP stated.
“During his interrogation, he emphatically confessed that one Fajemirokun Victor ‘m’ was one of his customers, that on the 2nd November, 2025, a woman and her daughter were brought to him by Fajemirokun Victor ‘m’ for a money ritual, and the subject had been killed. He further mentioned one Sunday James ‘m’, one Kehinde, and one Idowu to be part of the killers.
“Furthermore, on Monday, 17th November, 2025, the suspect Gboyega Daramola ‘m’ a.k.a. “Aberefa” led the detectives to Esa-Odo Dam, Osun State, where the body of one Lasisi Funmilayo Oluwamayokun ‘f’ 38yrs was dumped, who happens to be a senior officer of the Federal Road Safety Corp (FRSC) serving in Ogun State.
“Thereafter, it was recovered and deposited at UNIOSUN Teaching Hospital Morgue for autopsy. Meanwhile, some vital parts of the body, such as the head, breast, two hands, private parts, and others were missing.”
In the course of the investigation, on November 20 further credible intelligence led to the arrest of one of the principal suspects mentioned by the herbalist, one Sunday James, in Ekiti State, where he was hiding.
“During interrogation, he confessed to being the one who slaughtered both mother and her daughter on the instruction of his boss, herbalist, Gboyega Daramola a.k.a. Aberefa’ while the duo of Kehinde and Idowu were the ones who butchered the body.
“However, the suspect, Sunday James, led the detectives to recover the body of the daughter, Sewa Lasisi, from the bush where she was k!lled. Likewise, some vital parts of the body, such as the head, the two hands, and the feet were missing. The remains were also deposited at UNIOSUN Teaching Hospital Morgue
“However, it was gathered that Fajemirokun Victor, who masterminded the k!lling, had absconded from being arrested. Through the collaboration with Interpol, Victor Fajemirokun was apprehended in Ghana and repatriated to Nigeria,” Gotan further said.Nigerian Beauty Products
Assuring that perpetrators of the crime would be taken to court after investigation had been concluded, the CP said efforts would be intensified to arrest others involved in the crime who have not been arrested.

A Nigerian man has been sentenced to d3ath after being convicted of m8rdering his four-year-old step-grandson in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

High Court judge K. Muniandy sentenced Ibekwe, 48, to d3ath on Friday, January 9, 2025 after finding him guilty of m8rder, ruling that the prosecution had proven the charge beyond a reasonable doubt.
“You are sentenced to death by hanging until you are d3ad. However, you have the right to appeal against the sentence at the Court of Appeal,” the judge said.
Moments before the sentence was passed, Augustine, handcuffed and dressed in a white T-shirt and black trousers, pleaded for leniency.
“I regret everything that happened, and it will not happen again. I remember going swimming and playing football with him. Please have mercy on me. Everything is in your hands,” he said.
Augustine appeared solemn as he was led out of the courtroom. An interpreter was present throughout the proceedings.
He was charged in 2020 with m8rdering the boy between 7.45am and 8.15am at an apartment unit in Setapak on Nov 29, 2020, which carries the d3ath penalty or a jail term between 30 and 40 years upon conviction.
In addition to the m8rder conviction, Augustine was sentenced to one year for one count of attempted suicide, five years for s3xually assaulting his then 25-year-old stepdaughter, five years for attempted m8rder of his son, then aged 7; and 14 years for causing grievous hurt to his wife, then 48, who suffered a broken hip.
Muniandy ordered that all jail sentences run concurrently, which is 14-years, from Augustine’s arrest on Nov 29, 2020.
“All these inhumane and despicable acts of the accused could have been stopped as the accused’s wife attempted to do so, but the accused persisted even after grievously injuring her.
“The victims were all traumatised by the entire incident and had to run away from the home before anything more dreadful was inflicted on them.
“Then they found the grandchild dead on the ground as he was thrown away mercilessly by the accused, who then attempted suicide.
“Such conduct cannot be excused on the grounds of self-intoxication with drugs or his attempt to end his own life,” he said.
In mitigation, defence counsel Zulkifli Awang argued that his client should be spared the death penalty, saying the murder was not premeditated and that his client was not a hardened criminal incapable of rehabilitation.
“The facts show that his actions were due to schizophrenia and that he was of unsound mind, although the court had ruled that self-intoxication is not a defence.
“But I want to stress that what occurred was due to his insanity, due to drug consumption.
“He has been in remand since his arrest, and he is repentant. Imprisonment would be a more appropriate sentence. It is not necessary to take another life,” he said.
Deputy public prosecutor Zaileen Nadia Zubir urged the court to impose the death penalty, stating that Augustine had admitted to committing the acts due to prolonged consumption of drugs and not schizophrenia.
“He dangled the child by the leg outside the window before throwing him out, an act witnessed by the boy’s mother.
“He had admitted that it happened because of drugs and not because of schizophrenia, and he heard voices.
“He knew his actions were wrong and apologised,” she said.
The trial began in January 2024 and concluded in December the same year, with testimony from 22 prosecution witnesses and two defence witnesses, who were Augustine himself and consultant forensic psychiatrist Dr Ian Lloyd Anthony.
After the proceedings, Zulkifli said a notice of appeal against the d3ath sentence would be filed.
