Lucky soul. He d!ed in Jihad – Sheikh Gumi reacts to Iran’s Supreme leader Khamenei’s d3ath

Kaduna-based Islamic scholar, Ahmad Gumi has reacted to the k!lling of Iran’s Supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khanenei, describing him as a “lucky soul who d!ed in Jihad.”

Khanenei was k!lled by US and Israeli missiles in Tehran on Saturday, February 28, 2026.

In a post shared on his verified Facebook page, Gumi said Khamenei’s blood “will fuel the change in the ummah.”

“A lucky soul, he d!ed in Jihad against k!llers of innocent children and women in Gaza and elsewhere,” Gumi wrote.

He added that the late Iranian leader’s blood “will fuel the change in the ummah,” noting that Khamenei “stood firmly for justice and didn’t hide in bunkers.

“For those who k!lled him or assisted in killing him, let us see what they will live to do in this world.”

Gospel singer Taiwo Adegbodu d!es

One half of the Yoruba gospel duo Adegbodu Twins, Taiwo Adegbodu, has d!ed.

The news of his de@th was announced on Sunday, March 1, via a post on the group’s official Facebook page, which is managed by their team.

In the emotional message, the family lamented his sudden passing, describing the loss as deeply painful and difficult to bear.

Fellow gospel musician Esther Igbekele also confirmed the de@th on her Instagram page, where she shared a photo of Adegbodu and paid tribute to him in Yoruba.

Taiwo performed alongside his twin brother, Kehinde Adegbodu, and both rose to prominence in the Yoruba gospel music scene after the release of their debut album, Faratimi (Lean on Me), in 1999.

Over the years, the duo became known for their spiritually uplifting and culturally rooted sound, earning a strong following within the Christian music community.

Iran: Protest erupts in Nigeria over killing of Ali Khamenei (PHOTOS)

Members of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria, IMN, better known as Shiites, have taken to the streets of Niger State on Sunday to protest the killing of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

Shiites in Nigeria are led by Ibrahim El-Zakzaky.

It was reported that Khamenei was killed in coordinated airstrikes on Iran by the United States and Israel military.

Dozens of IMN members mobilised shortly after the news of Khamenei’s alleged death filtered through social media channels.

In a video sighted  on Sunday, the followers of the Shi’a cleric, were seen chanting ‘freedom to Iran, death to America ‘.

The protesters also marched through parts of the state chanting solidarity slogans and waving Iranian flags and placards bearing inscriptions such as “We Stand With Iran.”

PHOTOS: Iranians around the world celebrate the killing of Iran’s Ayatollah Khomenei in joint US–Israel airstrikes

Celebrations have been reported among some Iranians both inside Iran and around the world after news spread that Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was killed in a joint United States Armed Forces–Israel Defense Forces airstrike campaign targeting Iranian leadership and regime structures. Iranian state media has confirmed his death following the strikes.

Videos verified by multiple outlets show people in cities like Tehran, Karaj, Shiraz and others cheering from homes and balconies, honking car horns, playing music and, in some cases, dancing in the streets after reports of Khamenei’s death.

Some residents expressed a mix of joy, disbelief and relief, with honking, whistling and fireworks as the news spread.

Iranians around the world celebrate the killing of Iran

Members of the Iranian diaspora in cities such as London, Madrid, Berlin, Los Angeles and Brisbane have also gathered to celebrate the news, with waving of flags, cheering and public demonstrations marking what some described as a historic moment.
