Declare Your Lineage – Royal Family Tells Musician KWAM 1 Over His Interest In Becoming Next Awujale Of Ijebuland

Published

on

KWAM 1, in a letter dated December 3, 2025, addressed to the chairman of the Fusengbuwa Ruling House in Agunsebi Quarters, Ijebu-Ode, announced his interest in the stool, describing himself as a “bonafide son” of the ruling house.

The Fusengbuwa ruling house of Ijebu-Ode, next in line to produce the new Awujale of Ijebuland, Ogun State, has instructed Fuji musician Wasiu Ayinde, popularly known as KWAM 1, to confirm his family’s royal lineage to validate his membership in the ruling house.

KWAM 1, in a letter dated December 3, 2025, addressed to the chairman of the Fusengbuwa Ruling House in Agunsebi Quarters, Ijebu-Ode, announced his interest in the stool, describing himself as a “bonafide son” of the ruling house.

KWAM 1 also stated that his candidacy aligns with Ijebu customary law and the Ogun State Chieftaincy Laws.

In an interview with Punch, the Chairman of the ruling house and former National President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, Abdulateef Owoyemi, said only bonafide members of the family would be allowed to participate in the selection process.

Owoyemi explained that KWAM 1, Olori Omooba of Ijebu land and others interested in the stool have been directed to complete the Fusengbuwa ruling house royal lineage data form.

According to him, the form, which requires contenders to trace their genealogy back seven generations, ensures that only genuine princes from the family can participate, thereby blocking “strangers” from claiming the throne.

He said, “The first step for anyone interested in contesting for the Awujale throne is to declare their lineage by filling the standard Fusengbuwa ruling house royal lineage data form. Once confirmed as a legitimate member of the ruling house, they can then apply for the expression of interest form.

“We have told him, just like everyone else interested in the Awujale throne, that the first step is to declare his lineage. He will do this by completing the royal lineage data form, showing his full name, which parent and grandparent he descends from, and continuing up to seven generations.

“The completed form will be signed and submitted to the head of the ruling house unit of the Fusengbuwa ruling house, who will affirm that he is a genuine member. Only then will the process move forward.”

Owoyemi emphasised that although the application window for the throne officially closed on December 5, KWAM 1 had been given a five-day extension, which would lapse on December 10.

He noted, “We won’t shut anybody out of picking the next Awujale, but we must ensure that you are a legitimate member of Fusengbuwa. Every right comes with responsibilities. For a royal family, everyone must prove their legitimacy by completing the royal lineage data form.

“When we receive the form, we will review it meticulously. If clarification is needed, we will contact the applicant. We welcome men of influence who will use their influence to enhance the throne, not to claim it, ensuring that what truly belongs to our family is preserved.”

Owoyemi explained that the local government has given them 14 days to select candidates, and the ruling house hopes to have a new Awujale by the second or third week of January 2026.

He added, “The local government has given us 14 days to select candidates, which expires on December 18. After that, the kingmakers have seven days to deliberate and choose one candidate, whose name will be forwarded to the governor.

“Legally, the government then has 21 days to conduct background checks and security clearance, allowing for objections or protests. After this period, the State Executive Council will ratify the nominee, and the governor will announce the next Awujale, after which coronation rites will commence.

“So, combining the candidate selection, kingmakers’ deliberation, and legal objection period, we are looking at around 42 days. Therefore, we expect the next Awujale to emerge between the second and third week of January.”

I am not saying you should not work hard, pursue your dreams, become successful, or enjoy the rewards of your achievements. By all means, work hard and aim high!

But while pursuing wealth, fame, status, and power, remember to put humanity first.

No matter how powerful, wealthy, beautiful, handsome, educated, or influential you are, none of these things makes you greater than others as a human being. Life is temporary, and none of us will live forever.

My brothers and sisters, friends and family, take life easy. There is an end to our pride, our struggles, our ambitions, and our earthly possessions.

One day, the titles will no longer matter, the money will remain behind, and the praise of people will fade away.

So, while you are still here, choose to live a meaningful life.

THE PSYCHOLOGY OF POSITIVE THINKING: 35 LESSONS FOR A FULFILLED LIFE

Published

on

READ THIS CAREFULLY. REFLECT ON EVERY POINT. YOUR LIFE MAY NEVER BE THE SAME AGAIN!

Life is too short to waste on unnecessary worries, toxic relationships, bitterness, and negative thinking. Sometimes, all we need is a change in mindset, a little patience, and the courage to start again.

Here are 35 powerful life lessons to help you live with purpose, develop a positive mindset, and build a more fulfilling life.

1. DON’T COMPLICATE YOUR LIFE.
We won’t be here forever. Once today is gone, it will never return. Your time is precious, so don’t waste it on unnecessary drama, meaningless arguments, or things that add no value to your life.

2. NEVER GIVE UP ON YOURSELF.
No matter what knocks you down, find the strength to rise again and keep moving forward. Progress often requires patience, courage, and perseverance.

3. STOP FEEDING NEGATIVITY.
Talking endlessly about our problems can become a habit. Acknowledge your challenges, learn from them, and make room for conversations about gratitude, hope, joy, and solutions.

4. BELIEVE, BE PATIENT, AND PERSEVERE.
Good things can come through belief, better outcomes may require patience, and meaningful achievements often demand persistence. Never underestimate the power of consistent effort.

5. DON’T JUST PRAY FOR AN EASY LIFE.
Pray for the strength, wisdom, and courage to face life’s difficulties and overcome its challenges.

6. LET DISAPPOINTMENT TEACH YOU.
Disappointments do not have to destroy you. They can teach you valuable lessons, strengthen your character, and help prepare you for the future you hope to build.

7. HAPPINESS BEGINS WITH GRATITUDE.
Happiness does not always come from acquiring what you lack. Sometimes, it begins when you learn to appreciate what you already have.

8. YOUR CHILDREN LEARN MORE FROM YOUR EXAMPLE THAN YOUR ADVICE.
If you want your children to become honest, respectful, responsible, and compassionate, demonstrate those values through your own behaviour.

9. LEAVE A GOOD MEMORY BEHIND.
One day, you may exist only in someone’s memories. Live in a way that makes those memories worth keeping. Treat people with kindness and leave a positive mark wherever you go.

10. CHOOSE YOUR COMPANY WISELY.
Surround yourself with people who encourage growth, honesty, and good character. Sometimes, being alone is better than staying in company that constantly leads you in the wrong direction.

11. DON’T BE AFRAID OF CHANGE.
Change may take you away from something familiar, but it can also open the door to something better. Learn to embrace new opportunities and grow through life’s transitions.

12. APPRECIATE WHAT YOU HAVE.
When you learn to value what you already possess, you discover that contentment is not always about having more; it is also about appreciating enough.

13. SOME DAYS, COURAGE MEANS SIMPLY GETTING UP.
Not every victory is dramatic. Sometimes, the greatest achievement is finding the strength to face another day and refusing to give up on yourself.

14. NEVER LET YOUR DESIRES BLIND YOU TO YOUR BLESSINGS.
It is good to have ambitions, but don’t become so focused on what you want that you forget to appreciate what you already have. Practise gratitude.

15. COMMITMENT GOES BEYOND FEELINGS.
Commitment means staying faithful to your responsibilities and promises even when the excitement fades and motivation becomes difficult to find.

16. FORGIVENESS CAN SET YOU FREE.
Forgiving someone who has hurt you can help you release bitterness and reclaim your peace. Remember, forgiveness does not mean accepting abuse or abandoning healthy boundaries.

17. PATIENCE IS MORE THAN WAITING.
Patience is not simply the ability to wait. It is the ability to maintain a calm, wise, and constructive attitude while waiting.

18. THINK ABOUT THIS RELATIONSHIP PARADOX.
Sometimes, we ignore people who genuinely care about us while chasing those who pay us little attention. We may also hurt the very people who love us while longing for approval from those who hurt us.

Learn to recognise genuine love before you lose it.

19. AN ENDING CAN BECOME A NEW BEGINNING.
Sometimes, when one chapter of life closes, another begins. Not every ending is a failure. Some endings create room for growth, healing, and new opportunities.

20. BELIEVE IN YOUR POTENTIAL.
You have the potential to achieve meaningful things. But success requires more than wishing. You must plan, prepare, take action, learn from mistakes, and remain determined.

21. EVERY DAY IS AN OPPORTUNITY TO BEGIN AGAIN.
Take a deep breath. Learn from yesterday, focus on today, and take another step towards a better tomorrow.

22. KNOW YOUR WORTH.
You are valuable. You have unique abilities, meaningful possibilities, and the capacity to make a difference. Never allow another person’s opinion to determine your entire sense of worth.

23. STOP COMPARING YOUR JOURNEY WITH OTHER PEOPLE’S JOURNEYS.
Everyone has a different starting point, different challenges, and a different pace of progress. Focus on your own growth instead of measuring your life against someone else’s achievements.

24. SURROUND YOURSELF WITH PEOPLE WHO HELP YOU GROW.
Choose people who inspire you, challenge you positively, encourage your progress, and remind you of your potential.

25. LIFE IS NOT DEFINED ONLY BY WHAT HAPPENS TO YOU.
Everyone faces difficulties, although not everyone faces the same challenges. What matters is how you respond, the lessons you learn, and the steps you take towards recovery.

26. KEEP YOUR PROMISES.
When you make a commitment, you create hope. When you honour it, you build trust. Your word should mean something.

27. TWO THINGS REVEAL YOUR CHARACTER.
Your patience when you have very little and your attitude when you have plenty can reveal a great deal about who you are.

28. HONESTY MAY COST YOU SOME FRIENDSHIPS, BUT IT CAN HELP YOU FIND GENUINE ONES.
Not everyone will appreciate your honesty. However, being truthful and living with integrity can help you build relationships based on trust and mutual respect.

29. WORKING ON YOURSELF IS A LIFELONG JOURNEY.
Personal growth requires discipline, self-awareness, and the courage to confront your weaknesses. Keep learning, improving, and becoming a better version of yourself.

30. CHOOSE YOUR BATTLES WISELY.
You do not have to respond to every insult, win every argument, or prove yourself to everyone. Sometimes, protecting your peace is more valuable than proving that you are right.

31. VALUE PEOPLE WHO GENUINELY CARE ABOUT YOU.
Keep close those who respect you, encourage you, and contribute positively to your life. Where relationships are consistently harmful, establish healthy boundaries and know when to walk away.

32. LOOK FOR THE GOOD WITHOUT DENYING REALITY.
Being positive does not mean pretending that everything is perfect. It means recognising life’s difficulties while remaining open to hope, solutions, and reasons to keep moving forward.

33. TRUE OPTIMISM REQUIRES ACTION.

❌ NO SHORTCUTS TO LASTING SUCCESS.
❌ NO EXPECTATION OF INSTANT RESULTS.
❌ NO CONSTANTLY BLAMING OTHERS.
❌ NO ENDLESS PROCRASTINATION: “I’LL DO IT TOMORROW.”
❌ NO EXCUSES FOR AVOIDING RESPONSIBILITY.

✅ SET CLEAR GOALS.
✅ TAKE CONSISTENT ACTION.
✅ ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY.
✅ LEARN FROM YOUR MISTAKES.
✅ KEEP MOVING FORWARD.

34. CHOOSE PEOPLE WHO STAND BY YOU DURING DIFFICULT TIMES.
Surround yourself with people who support you when life becomes difficult, not only those who celebrate you when everything is going well. True friendship is tested by more than good times.

35. BEING DEFEATED DOES NOT MEAN YOUR STORY IS OVER.
A setback can be temporary. A mistake can become a lesson. A failure can become an opportunity to improve. Never allow one difficult chapter to convince you that your entire story has ended.

🙏 ENJOY GOD’S GRACE ON THIS JOURNEY WE CALL LIFE.

Remember: you cannot control everything that happens to you, but you can work on how you respond. Choose gratitude over constant complaining, growth over excuses, wisdom over unnecessary arguments, and kindness over bitterness.

FINAL MESSAGE: PLEASE READ THIS AGAIN!

Take a moment to reflect on every point. Ask yourself honestly:

Am I living the kind of life I want to live?

Am I treating people the way I want to be treated?

Am I spending my time on things that truly matter?

Am I holding on to anger, jealousy, fear, or unhealthy relationships?

Am I becoming a better person, or am I repeating the same mistakes?

IT IS NEVER TOO LATE TO CHANGE FOR THE BETTER.

You cannot change yesterday, but you can learn from it. You cannot predict everything about tomorrow, but you can make better choices today.

CHANGE YOUR MINDSET. IMPROVE YOUR CHARACTER. VALUE YOUR TIME. APPRECIATE YOUR BLESSINGS. AND NEVER STOP GROWING.

Your life is a journey. Make the remaining chapters better than the ones you have already written.

THE INTEGRITY OF THE BATHROOM: DO YOU THINK YOU ARE BETTER THAN YOUR BATHROOM?

Published

on

READ THIS CAREFULLY. YOU MAY DISCOVER THAT YOUR BATHROOM HAS MORE INTEGRITY THAN YOU DO!

Have you ever stopped to think about the lessons of integrity, character, and humanity that we can learn from an ordinary bathroom?

It may sound strange, but look beyond its walls, and you may discover some powerful lessons about life.

1. ENCLOSED SPACE: DO YOU PROTECT PEOPLE OR EXPOSE THEM?

A bathroom is a private space designed for bathing and attending to personal needs. It is where we expose our nakedness, acknowledge our physical imperfections, and deal with our dirt without fear of public embarrassment.

It provides privacy when we are at our most vulnerable.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT:

Are you a wall that protects people or a weapon that destroys them? Do you cover people’s weaknesses with compassion, or do you expose their secrets to the world? Are you a defender of the vulnerable, or do you use their weaknesses against them?

Learn from your bathroom!

Many of us enter the bathroom feeling uncomfortable, dirty, or exhausted and leave feeling refreshed, cleaner, and more comfortable.

The bathroom serves its purpose without demanding praise or recognition.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT:

When people come into contact with you, do they leave feeling encouraged, respected, and uplifted? Or do they leave feeling bitter, humiliated, and emotionally wounded?

Do you bring peace into people’s lives, or do you add to their burdens?

Learn from your bathroom!

3. A KEEPER OF SECRETS: CAN PEOPLE TRUST YOU?

A bathroom does not gossip about the people who use it. It does not announce their nakedness, expose their private moments, or broadcast their imperfections.

See also  North West IDPs near 800,000 amid killings – Report

It provides a private space where people can attend to their personal needs without public embarrassment.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT:

Can people trust you with their secrets? Are you dependable and responsible? When someone confides in you, do you protect their confidence, or do you turn their vulnerability into entertainment for others?

Remember: a person who cannot keep a confidence may destroy a friendship, a marriage, or a family.

Learn from your bathroom!

4. TOLERANCE: CAN YOU BE PATIENT WITH OTHER PEOPLE’S WEAKNESSES?

A bathroom serves people regardless of how dirty, tired, or uncomfortable they may be when they enter.

It does not insult them or demand that they become perfect before using it.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT:

How do you react when people make mistakes? Do you lose your temper over every little offence? Can you patiently correct someone without humiliating them?

Nobody is perfect. If you expect others to tolerate your weaknesses, you must also learn to be patient with theirs.

Learn from your bathroom!

5. ACCEPTANCE: HOW BIG IS YOUR HEART?

We often remember the bathroom only when we need it. Yet, its purpose remains the same: to provide a place for our personal needs.

This offers us a lesson in hospitality, forgiveness, and acceptance.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT:

Do you reject people because they have made mistakes? How quickly do you forgive? Can you welcome someone back after a disagreement? Do you correct people in love or attack them in anger?

A heart filled with pride has little room for forgiveness. A heart filled with compassion understands that people can learn, change, and grow.

Learn from your bathroom!

6. PRINCIPLES AND CONSISTENCY: DO YOU STAND BY YOUR VALUES?

See also  PHOTOS: LIST OF YORÙBÁ TOWNS AND VILLAGES IN KWARA STATE.

A bathroom does not chase people around the house, begging them to use it. It remains available for its intended purpose.

In the same way, a person of integrity should not abandon their principles merely to gain popularity, approval, or attention.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT:

Do you stand by your values when people ignore you? Do you compromise your integrity to please the rich and powerful? Will you tell the truth when lying would benefit you?

Integrity means doing what is right even when nobody is watching.

Learn from your bathroom!

7. LETTING GO: WHY DO YOU KEEP RECORDS OF WRONGS?

A bathroom is designed to let waste flow away rather than accumulate indefinitely. Without proper drainage and cleaning, however, waste builds up and creates problems.

Human relationships can be similar. Holding on to every offence, insult, and disappointment can poison our peace of mind.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT:

How much resentment are you carrying? Do you forgive, or do you keep reminding people of their past mistakes? Can you let go of an offence without allowing it to destroy your peace?

Forgiveness does not mean accepting abuse or abandoning healthy boundaries. It means refusing to let bitterness control your life.

Learn from your bathroom!

8. SILENCE: MUST YOU RESPOND TO EVERY PROVOCATION?

You can make noise, sing, shout, or remain silent in a bathroom. It does not argue with you or demand an apology.

Of course, a bathroom is an inanimate object, but its silence offers a lesson about self-control.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT:

Must you respond to every insult? Do you turn every disagreement into a fight? Can you remain calm when someone tries to provoke you?

See also  10 things to know about Prof. Amupitan, new INEC Chairman

Sometimes, the strongest response is not an argument but the wisdom to remain calm.

Learn from your bathroom!

THE BIG QUESTION: ARE YOU BETTER THAN YOUR BATHROOM?

Before you judge another person, examine your own character.

Can people trust you?

Do you protect people’s dignity?

Do you keep confidential information private?

Are you patient with other people’s weaknesses?

Do you forgive when you are offended?

Do you stand by your principles when nobody is watching?

Do people feel better or worse after interacting with you?

These are not small questions. They are tests of character.

The Bible teaches in Matthew 5:20 (KJV):

“For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.”

The lesson is clear: do not be satisfied with appearing righteous before people. Examine the quality of your character, the sincerity of your actions, and the way you treat others.

FINAL FOOD FOR THOUGHT:

Sometimes, the simplest things around us can teach us the greatest lessons.

Your bathroom may be just a room, but the questions it inspires can reveal the person you truly are.

BE HONEST WITH YOURSELF: ARE YOU A PERSON OF INTEGRITY, OR HAVE YOU BEEN FAILING THE VERY LESSONS THAT YOUR BATHROOM TEACHES?

WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT LESSON YOU HAVE LEARNED FROM THIS MESSAGE? SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS IN THE COMMENTS.
