He spoke while appearing on Channels Television’s Politics Today.

“I have unconditional love for President Jonathan, I will not criticize and I will not give an opinion of anything he does on live television.

I’m Interested In The Evidence You Have Against Peter Obi – Aisha Yesufu Tells Adeyanju

Published

on

Activist, Aisha Yesufu, has challenged fellow activist, Deji Adeyanju, to present the evidence he has against the 2023 Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi.

According to Yesufu, she remains a supporter of Obi, but the evidence Adeyanju claims to have against the former Anambra State Governor would help her decide whether she would continue to support Obi or withdraw her support.

It was reports that Yesufu made the submission in a post via her 𝕏 account on Friday in which she reacted to the public feud between Obi and Adeyanju.

Obi, through his lawyers, had accused Adeyanju of character defamation after the activist described the former presidential candidate as a political fraud.

Aisha Yesufu stated that she’s okay with the fact that the matter is in court, where both parties can present their claims, adding that the court case is preferable to using the state’s powers to harass.

She wrote, “Barrister Deji Adeyanju @adeyanjudeji has repeatedly said that he has evidence to show that Mr Peter Obi @PeterObi is a fraud and that Mr Peter Obi should sue him. This is a lawyer speaking!

“As a supporter of Mr Peter Obi, I am interested in the evidence the Barrister has. I would not be one to give support to anyone that is fraudulent so this case will offer me and millions of others the opportunity to have access to the evidence Barrister Deji has so we know whether to continue our support for Mr Peter Obi or withdraw it.

“Mr Peter Obi going to court is the civil thing to do. Where one is defamed especially from a LAWYER, then one should go to court.

“If Mr Peter Obi had used machinery of the State to get Barrister Deji arrested and thrown into jail like many of the dictators we fight are doing then I would be leading a #FreeDejiAdeyanju and calling out Mr Peter Obi!

“As for now, #LetsHaveTheEvidence!”

‘Why Tinubu Must Arrest, Investigate, Prosecute Peter Obi, Aisha Yesufu And Sarah Ibrahim’

Published

on

The factional Publicity Secretary of the Labour Party (LP), Arabambi Abayomi, has called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to arrest, investigate, prosecute the former presidential candidate of the LP, Peter Obi.
In an open letter to Tinubu, Abayomi said the President needs to uphold the rule of law and restore public decorum.

The factional LP spokeswoman also called for the arrest, investigation and prosecution of activists, Aisha Yesufu and Sarah Ibrahim for their roles in inciting treasonable felony cyber-stalking and cyber-bullying.

He stated that he is set to file a Mandamus suit at the Federal High Court in Abuja to compel Tinubu, as the President and Chief Security Officer of the nation, to direct relevant agencies to perform their constitutional duty of investigating the trio.

According to him, Tinubu must ensure that the same laws that protect Peter Obi from defamation are applied equally to hold him and his associates accountable for their own extensive and inflammatory statements.

His open letter read: “I am compelled to write to you today regarding a matter of grave national importance that strikes at the very heart of our democracy, the rule of law, and the dignity of the highest office in the land: the Presidency of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

“My attention was drawn to a seven-day pre-action letter of demand served by the legal representatives of Mr. Peter Gregory Obi on Mr. Deji Adeyanju. In it, Mr. Obi demands a retraction and apology for statements he deems defamatory, made on August 21, 2025, in which Mr. Adeyanju critiqued his political standing.

“The profound irony of this action cannot be overlooked. This is the same Mr. Peter Obi who, on October 11, 2023, held a press conference in Abuja where he audaciously and publicly challenged your identity, your parentage, and the authenticity of your academic credentials. He demanded you provide personal historical details to him, orchestrating a media spectacle that caused undeniable national embarrassment and sowed seeds of doubt and discord.

“While Mr. Obi now rushes to his lawyers to protect his own reputation from criticism, his political movement has been defined by a sustained and malicious campaign of calumny against your person and office. His key allies, such as Aisha Yesufu and Serah Ibrahim, have consistently and publicly referred to your government as “illegitimate”—a blatant and seditious disregard for the final and authoritative judgment of the Supreme Court of Nigeria which affirmed your election.

“Every day, on various social media platforms, countless individuals affiliated with Mr. Obi’s movement engage in unchecked libel, openly referring to you in the most derogatory and criminal terms without any consequence. This creates a dangerous imbalance where one political figure seeks the full protection of the law for himself while his supporters operate with impunity, eroding the sanctity of our national institutions and the dignity of the Presidency.

“Therefore, Your Excellency, I urge you in the strongest possible terms to direct the Department of State Services (DSS) and the Attorney-General of the Federation to:

“1. Investigate and Arrest: Immediately investigate, arrest, and question Mr. Peter Obi, Aisha Yesufu, and Serah Ibrahim for their alleged roles in inciting treasonable felony, cyberstalking, and cyberbullying against the Nigerian state and your person.

“2. Uphold the Rule of Law: Ensure that the same laws that protect Mr. Obi from defamation are applied equally to hold him and his associates accountable for their own extensive and inflammatory statements.

“3. Send a Clear Message: Demonstrate that no individual, regardless of their political status, is above the law. Nigeria must be a country where freedom of speech is respected, but where deliberate falsehoods, seditious rhetoric, and attempts to undermine the legitimacy of a constituted authority are met with the full force of the law.

“I have accordingly put my legal team, led by Barristers Anderson Asemota and Mawah Monday, on notice to file a Mandamus suit at the Federal High Court in Abuja. This suit will seek to compel you, as the President and Chief Security Officer of the nation, to direct the relevant agencies to perform their constitutional duty.

“It is time to end this era of impunity and restore respect for our nation’s leadership and institutions.”

PDP remains most united party in Nigeria – Jonah Jang

Published

on

Former Plateau State governor, Senator Jonah Jang, has said the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) remains one of the most united political parties in Nigeria since it was formed in 1998.

Speaking at a caucus meeting of the Plateau North Senatorial District of the PDP, Jang said the party has continued to stand strong at the national level without any form of division threatening its existence.

“Since 1998, the PDP has remained one of the most united political parties in Nigeria. No faction has been able to shake its foundation,” Jang said.

He noted that although some members had left the party over time, the PDP is still rooted in the dedication and sacrifices of its genuine founding fathers.

“It makes no sense to me when I hear founding members of PDP defecting to another party. How can a founding father abandon his own house? A true and genuine founding father will not abandon his house, no matter the level of provocation,” he said.

At the meeting, party stakeholders in the senatorial district endorsed Plateau State governor, Caleb Mutfwang, for a second term in office. His deputy, Josephine Piyo, and the state PDP chairman, Chris Hassan, were also given unanimous support for another term.
